About Me:
Hello! I’m Dr. Ramesh Shankar, a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist with over 33 years of experience in mental health, both nationally and internationally. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges with compassion and expertise.
My Journey:
I began my medical career in India, earning my undergraduate medical degree (MBBS ) and further specializing with a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Medicine (DPM) and a Diploma in Industrial Psychology (DIP). My journey brought me to the UK, where I became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) after successfully completing all relevant examinations conducted by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK and later earned a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in General Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry (CCST) from PMETB. I am also honoured to be a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych).
