As we expand our services, we’re seeking passionate Speech and Language Therapists with experience in autism assessments, including the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), to join our multidisciplinary team.
The Opportunity
As a Speech and Language Therapist at ADHDASDDoctor.com, you’ll play a pivotal role in assessing and supporting children with ASD. You’ll work alongside a team of dedicated professionals, including child psychologists and occupational therapists, to deliver comprehensive evaluations and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for children and teens suspected of having ASD, including the administration of the ADOS.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized intervention strategies that support each child’s unique needs.
- Provide guidance and support to families, helping them understand their child’s communication challenges and how to best support their development.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with the latest research and best practices in speech and language therapy and ASD assessment.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Certification and experience in administering the ADOS.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with children with ASD, including conducting comprehensive communication assessments.
- Registration with the relevant professional body.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong commitment to compassionate care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
