Hi, My name is Julie Coulter. I graduated with a first-class honours degree in nursing in 2004 and began my career as a critical care nurse in the Regional Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. In 2008, I completed a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing postgraduate diploma with distinction and worked full-time as a Health Visitor in Portstewart on the North Coast of Northern Ireland for 16 years. During this time, I also got married and had two boys, now aged 14 and 10. In 2023, I took on my current role as an ADHD Nurse Specialist with NHSCT, where I assess children and young people with ADHD. My extensive experience working with families and children fuels my passion for helping families navigate the challenges of parenting. I thoroughly enjoy discussing the complexities of family life and assisting parents in understanding their children’s behavior, finding creative solutions to their difficulties. I follow evidence-based research from various sources to advise families on establishing healthy routines and strategies that enable children and families to thrive.
